This recipe has been a treasure within the Lapinid family for decades and has been enjoyed by their friends and family for just as long.
Back in the 80's creating Longanisa was the chosen 'Side Hustle' for the family to support their income from working in Nursing and the Hospitality industries similar to many of the other first generation Filipinos in the UK and around the world.

EXPANDED DURING LOCKDOWN
With lockdown came a lot of spare time and the necessity to replace lost income from the restrictions on our day to day business in the hospitality and events industry. We had to pivot into the family's old 'side hustle'. We decided to expand production of our longanisa to it share with the world.
Lolo Ben's Food Ltd was created, named after our late dad, Ruben aka Lolo Ben.
Using his recipe, we now produce the Longanisa on a large scale in a fully equipped sausage factory with strict quality control procedures and we also deliver nationwide.
Having been operating for several months now, the support and growth has been nothing short of amazing. You've even shared pictures of your Longanisa meals on Instagram and Facebook. We have delivered our Longanisa all over the UK from England to Scotland and various towns in between. We are very proud and extremely grateful.

Fresh and Frozen produce home delivery has taken off in recent years with reliable and efficient couriers. This has enabled businesses like ours to get products to the customer efficiently.
We usually ship on Mondays and Tuesdays which means deliveries are made on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You will receive an email from our couriers once your package has been dispatched. Please ensure that someone is in to receive the delivery as any delays could compromise the quality. We have instructed our couriers to leave the package if no one answers the door.
We do our very best to get the Longanisa to you in top condition. We use gel freeze packs as well as insulated packaging to ensure that a cold temperature is maintained throughout shipping.
